Rezvan Maria Efimovna

In 1999, graduated from the undergraduate program, and in 2001, graduated from the Department of Central Asia and the Caucasus, East Faculty of St. Petersburg State University (with honors). After graduation, she entered the graduate school of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in 2002 transferred to the graduate school of the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography. Peter the Great Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation (Kunstkamera), in 2003 & defended her Ph.D. Since that time, he has been working in the Ethnography Department of Central Asia, MAE RAS, and since 2007 he has headed it. Since 2015 - Scientific Secretary of the Dissertation Council under the MAE RAS. Deputy editor-in-chief of the international scientific journal “Manuscripta Orientalia” (http://manuscripta-orientalia.kunstkamera.ru/).

The main topics of scientific research: Muslim handwritten tradition in an ethnographic context, magical practices among Muslim peoples.

The author of the monograph “The Quran in the System of Muslim Magical Practices” (St. Petersburg, 2011) and a number of articles on the subject, the editor-in-chief of dozens of scientific publications.
